Champlain Motion Pictures is proud to announce that Jayson Argento’s acclaimed independent feature, Finding Providence will be shown at Merrill’s Roxy Theatre in Burlington, VT. With the generous support of the Roxy, CMP is hosting this event in order to help support the production of its upcoming feature film, slated for principal photography in June. Finding Providence is a full-length feature film written and produced in Vermont by Colchester resident Jayson Argento It features a fascinating cast of Vermont-based talent and a multitude of Green Mountain locations. The film is the launchpad piece for Argento’s new company, Champlain Motion Pictures. All those interested in supporting the local arts and the Vermont film industry are encouraged to attend. The filmmakers and many of the stars of the film will be in attendance at the showing. Tickets for the screening are available from www.champlainmotionpictures.com. Purchase of a ticket will entitle the bearer to $5 off a copy of the DVD at the theater! In the ten years since the disappearance of his girlfriend, obsessive Tom (ERIC RONIS) has been unable to move on with his life. As the affections of the beautiful Gwyneth (LOGAN HOWE) begin to lead him out of his past, the disappearance of another local girl draws him back in. Determined to find the missing girl, against the better judgment of Curtis (JAYSON ARGENTO), his best friend and roommate, Tom is driven into an investigation based on suspicion and circumstance; one which threatens to destroy his friendship, his love, and his sanity. An intimate story of mystery, redemption and romance, FINDING PROVIDENCE shows us how the past can haunt us and love can heal us. Press Reviews: “Ronis is outstanding as Tom, a nebishy everyman teetering on the brink of recovery and madness.” “Finding Providence is a nice little romantic thriller – or is it a thrilling romance?” |

We are pleased to report that our fundraiser at Club Metronome went well. There were a lot of great bands, even more great people and some great support for our community was passed around the room. It was fun, too! Because we are geniuses, we completely forgot to organize a still camera for the event. So we’ll have to wait to get some frames from the video to post online. Don’t forget to come audition this Saturday! |

The other night we finally got the chance to test out our home-built dolly kit. We had this on set for the Nowhere Found music video, but we didn’t end up using it because we were on a very smooth concrete floor that allowed for wheeled tripods to be used just fine. These pictures are from the Kisa Productions project we helped out on. Pictured are Steve Maas, Jim Reid, Harry Goldhagen, Colleen Alexander and Jayson Argento. At some point we hope to post some footage from the shot we did. The dolly will definitely find extensive use in our own projects when the time comes. This was a great chance for us to help out on another project and to learn how to improve our equipment. |
